Bosque del Apache
January 26, 2015 by Caroline
I always assumed I lacked the patience to be a wildlife photographer. But I wanted to find out. The Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge, a few miles off the highway, near Socorro, New Mexico, was the place.
For an introvert like me, non-stop travel and people can be exhausting. After months of plane-hopping in Europe, I craved the desert. And I wanted to drive there.
Everything I needed was in my truck: water, food, camera gear, a sleeping bag. I relished the freedom. It felt so American. Here are some photos from the Bosque!
